The weekends go by so fast! All week long just waiting for Friday to arrive and before you know it Monday morning slaps you in the face! Wish I could freeze time! As always we pack as much as we can on the weekends especially now, taking advantage of the beautiful fall weather. Saturday started with the usual cleaning, laundry, grocery store and of course Starbucks.....or as Abel calls it "Bucks". We had a nice walk to the park and a run in the jogger, before you know it......nap time :). Saturday night was a fun Chili cook off at our neighbor and friends house. I made my usual turkey chili, coming from a non beef eater it was my favorite of the bunch....of course the only one that I even ate :). We ended the night with a sleepover downstairs, just Abel, Momma and Dadda. It was a perfect end to the evening.

Hallo"ween"
Gotta love when your toddler starts talking! Abel is in the repeat everything stage, it is so dang cute! We were at Target the other day and as we approached the Halloween decorations he exploded with a big "WEEN"! He is loving all of the pumpkins and decorations out right now.....enjoyed it so much that we took two trips to the pumpkin patch, one trip to the nursrey for pumpkins and hay as well as some wall hangings and spider lights. Fun stuff!! Although he loves the "WEEN" stuff he did not enjoy carving the pumpkins, he was to concerned with getting his hands dirty :)
Fun at the Patch
He worked so hard loading up the pumpkins.....we had no choice but to buy all of them :)
Carving pumpkins with the neighbors....he was on the go. I only captured one photo :(
All tired out from a fun night down the street.....tucked into his Big Boy Bed :)
Momma and Abel at the patch.....also our finished product!

Always out of time...........
As I suspected I have not had a moment to give to my new project here......or rather I found other things to do. Over the weekend we celebrated Ashlynn's 2nd Birthday. It is so fun to have all of our kids growing up together. With each of the four little ones less then two months apart our get togethers are always fun, crazy and pure chaos! Enjoy the photos.............

Impromptu Photo Shoot
I love having such a talented sister when it comes to photography. We are so lucky to be able to be her practice shoots as she is working to make a career with her beautiful talent. I cherish the moments that Kirstin caputures...she has such an eye for perfection! Enjoy.....
Cousins
So special were the days that I remember playing with my cousins growing up. We were very lucky to live so close and see each other often. I want that for Abel and his cousins...it is just so difficult with different schedules and hectic lives not to mention we don't have the luxury of living close to family. When the kids do get together it is so fun to watch! Here is a glimpse of the kids enjoying each others company.........

One of those days.......
I can't even remember the last time my alarm did not go off and I woke up late for work......I found myself remembering those days in my early 20's when I had stayed out too late and slept through my alarm. This time was different I quickly shot out of bed at 6:55 realizing that my alarm had not gone off followed by a panic of how the heck am I going to get myself, my son and Javy out of the house in the next 5 minutes. Needless to say we did not get out of the house in 5 minutes...more like 20 minutes, that will be one for the record books. Given the start to my day I assumed that it was going to be a bummer day all the way around, however your day is what you make it. It was a set back, but all in all a good day. Any day is a great day when you come home to this......

Where to begin........
I created this blog back in May of 2010 with real intentions of doing this.......well you can see where that got me. Here we are October of 2011 and here is my first post. I am feeling the need to do something that I really enjoy. Writing is something I used to take great joy in so here goes nothing. I don't know when I will find the time to actually sit down and write, but making time for yourself I realize now more then ever is important. Even if it is time to sit down and reflect on my day about my family, work or whatever the case is... this is time for me. Today is one of those special days. Normally one wouldn't consider staying home from work because your child is sick a special day, however the quality time that I get to spend with him on days like today are unforgetable. Believe me we have had plenty of these "sick" days together over the last year and each of them I enjoy more then the last. With Abel only having a slight fever and a little cough today we have been able to have a bit of fun.....this morning started with Mickeys Clubhouse a big hit in our household. With Mickey keeping Abel occupied I got a moment to catch up with my dear friend Mindy. Always happy to have some quiet time to chat with her. She is an inspiration to all of us ladies. Mindy being diagnosed with Breast Cancer just this summer at age 33 is fighting the good fight! Thats another story all together, I am so lucky to have her in my life :) After a good chat with Mindy, Abel and I decided to do some coloring and stickers. We made Halloween cards, and decorated his pumpkins with fun Halloween stickers. He is such a happy guy even when he is sick. He even helped me clean out the closet of JUNK under the stairway....he found more joy pulling out all of his old baby toys as I reminisced at how fun those days were. We stumbled accross the "Valdivia" wedding video so I popped it in the DVD so he could see Mommy and Daddy get married (more reminiscing). I loved watching him point out Mamma, Dadda, Boompa, Gramma, Ito, Ita and even his Pretty Auntie. Kirstin is very lucky to have the title "Pretty" :) Cheers for now......as nap is coming to an end and I am sure someone is going to be asking for "Milky" any moment
